So after eating my bodyweight in food this Christmas my complexion feels congestioned and in need of some detox
In this post I’ll tell you a bit more about the products I am currently using and some treatments I absolutely love. Here is my facial cleansing routine:
1- Removing Make up: I am using Garnier bi-facial with argan oil eanser to remove my make-up. But, as it has argan oil, I later on remove the residue with my facial cleanser. However, I have to say that the oil is absorbed by the skin after few minutes so it feel really moisturising
2 – Cleanse: At the moment, I am in LOVEEE with Bioré charcoal face wash and the baking soda one. I have combination skin and I truly recommend both. if you tend to have more oily skin, the charcoal face cleanser is definitely worth a try.
3 – Toner: I was using the lancome toner during the summer but I have just changed to Glow tonic from Pixi. I use it every day, only once (either morning or night). It has 5% glycolic acid which is great for exfoliating, but if you have sensitive skin you may want to use something gentler or use it less frequently (every other day). Also, it is highly recommended to use SPF whilst using this product
4 – Moisturise: I am currently using Kiehl’s ultra moisturising gel cream . I use it alone in the morning before applying make up and mixed with Pixi’s rose oil in the evening after removing my make up.
5 – SPF: My foundations all have 15+SPF so I feel protected enough when Im wearing them. when Im going make-up-free I use the body shop ‘Skin Defence’ it is a very light non-oily formula, that really protects your skin while moisturising it.
I am currently trying The Ordinary AHA 30% +BHA 2%. this is a type of acid that helps exfoliate the skin. It is so simple to use and unexpensive. You just have to leave it on for 10 mins and rinse it off. You’ll discover a brighter and smoother skin.
Pure Clay + charcoal detox mask from L’oreal to unclog pores and get rid of excess sebum and blackheads
P.S: this is not a sponsored or paid advert by any of the brands mentioned above, I truly recommend these products based on my own experiences with them. I wouldn’t recommend a product if I don’t think is useful or worth a try.
